Grass looks emissive in shadows

Grass looks emissive in shadows, I have no idea why…

I didn’t change that much in the render settings. I think it has something to do with the skylight.

I think it might be the material. Are you using subsurface color, for instance?

I’m not using subsurface, here is a screenshot of the material. I’m using runtime virtual texture to capture the ground color together with a gradient.

I also played around with exposure and local exposure, but this doesn’t help either.

I found out the problem, my ambient occlusion was 0 instead of 1 in my landscape material. Now it looks better.
