Grass Lighting/Material Issue

Hello, I have been working on the grass for an environment for some time but recently ran into an issue. For some reason, the grass has stopped receiving shadows. As shown in the image below, the grass looks fine in lit areas but is still being illuminated over shadowy parts of the landscape. My material is using the subsurface shading model and its blend mode is set to masked. The directional light in the scene is also movable and not static. I am instancing the grass meshes procedurally through the landscape material but the issue still persists when hand-painting the foliage.

I have tried playing with the material’s values and messing with the subsurface scattering inputs to see if I could resolve it, but nothing seems to be working. I did recently update my project to Unreal Version 5.2.1 from 5.1 and I know the grass was shading properly in 5.1 but I don’t know if that has anything to do with the issue.

Does anyone have any ideas about what might be the cause of this or potential solutions? If so, I would really appreciate any help.
