I’m new to UE5 and have tried finding solutions online and messing around with it myself for about a week but I can’t seem to figure out how to fix the lighting issues with my grass. Whenever I get far away it becomes incredibly bright and shiny but loads in somewhat okay when I am close to it. I created a PCG and am using Quixel assets. I did try changing the meshes themselves but couldn’t get the result I was intending. Any help is super appreciated!
Hello there @Cozy_Toes!
Considering that the issue happens with distance, I want to ask, does your foliage meshes have Nanite enabled? As mixing said feature with foliage can generate unexpected results, including effects like the one you are experiencing.
If Nanite is not enabled, you can also check the LOD levels implemented in your grass mesh, just make sure it’s not being reduced so much, that light starts to reflect in an unintended way.
