Hi,
I am quite new to Unreal, I’ve exported some grass clumps from Quixel bridge into unreal, and used foliage paint to add a large grass area into the game, everything work perfect in the editor , but when I start a new Game simulation (or after packaging my project) the grass no longer appears as grass, I can only see un-textured low poly images instead (see below some grass clumps I painted somewhere in my scene)
any idea what I am missing and what is needed to make it work?

Only a guess but could it be possible that the grass LODs don’t have a material assigned?
Thanks HAF-Blade, as far as I can see the grass LOD as the grass material assigned to it
Maybe it needs the flag “Use with Instances” enabled in the material? Can you maybe share some more images?
Thanks!
I’ve added more images, a reminder that this material was imported from Quixel and that it was applied using Foliage painting .
I couldnt find “Use with Instances” option on the materials, can you give more info on that?

Does this work for you:
unfortunately not, tried re-saving materials , this had no affect
Solved, I was able to solve the issue. by going into the parent material of the grass, untick “Use with Instances” and save the material (the checkbox came back again and also my grass in-game)
Thanks to everyone that helped!
Ah, you found the UseWithInstances! Nice!
