grabbing material, saving to variable and then setting them elsewhere.

I would like to get the material from a mesh and then save it to a variable. Then apply it to another mesh.

In this instance I would like to do it for the standard mannequin.

I’m confused by the slot reference though. Does anyone know how to do this?
