I have two GPU in my PC
GPU 1 RTX 3080 on PCI 0
GPU 2 RTX 3090 on PCI 1
Currently it always uses GPU 0 when starting Unreal
I tried changing the Nvidia controller but it doesn’t work.
Can I also use both graphics cards for Unreal?
Can someone please help me thanks!
Im new to Unreal so I cant speak with authority, but I have two GPUs also and what I’ve come to understand is that Unreal uses two GPUs when building lightmaps, and in 5.1 supports multiple GPUs when rendering with path tracer – that said, I have not been able to get path tracer to use both GPUs nor have I ever seen it working or heard of anyone else who has gotten it working. Aside from path tracer, Unreal only supports 1 GPU for rendering, which is really insane for 2022. Most other 3D apps and animation software have supported multiple GPUs for years. Unreal even allows one to split up an images into tiles and do tile rendering. This is how apps like Blender uses multiple GPUs. The frame is divided up into tiles and different GPUs can work on different tiles. Why Unreal can split up an image into tiles but not render on multiple GPUs is beyond me.
