GPU Crash (D3D Device Removed) when placing Nanite Assembly vegetation assets with Nanite Foliage enabled (RTX 5070 Ti, UE 5.7.4)

Summary

I am experiencing a reproducible GPU crash in Unreal Engine 5.7.4 when using Nanite Assembly vegetation assets from FAB.

What Type of Bug are you experiencing?

Rendering (Graphics / Niagara)

Steps to Reproduce

Reproduction Steps:
Create a new Unreal Engine 5.7.4 project.
Enable Nanite Foliage (Experimental) in Project Settings.
Enable the Procedural Vegetation Editor (Experimental) plugin.
Restart the editor.
Download and add a Nanite Assembly vegetation asset from FAB (for example, Baltic Pine).
Drag the asset into the viewport.

Expected Result

The vegetation asset should be placed in the scene and render correctly.

Observed Result

When the vegetation asset is dragged into the viewport, Unreal Engine becomes completely unresponsive. Since the editor remains frozen, I attempt to open Windows Task Manager to close the application. At that exact moment, the entire computer suddenly powers off without displaying a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).

After updating to the latest NVIDIA Studio Driver, the behavior changed. Instead of the computer powering off, Unreal Engine now crashes and displays the following error:

GPU Crashed or D3D Device Removed

A GPU crash dump is generated, and the Crash Reporter identifies the crash in UnrealEditor_D3D12RHI.
