According to this video it should be possible to switch between stereo/vr and “normal” mode:
So i tried to execute the console command “stereo off” on a google pixel xl but it stays in vr mode.
Has anyone successfully disabled stereo mode on android or is this not possible anymore?

I think, this command only works for Oculus or HTC, if you want disable stereo mode, try with enable HMD or disable HMD.
Thanks for your reply. i already tried that but no effect. found a comment in GoogleVRHMD.cpp (line 1430): “We will not allow stereo rendering to be disabled when using async reprojection”.
What plugins do you have enabled?
GoogleVRHMD, GoogleVRController and GoogleVRTransition2D. Did i miss one?
