Is there any way to create a material that glows even when you have bloom disabled? The value plugged into my emissive is through the roof, and it glows like mad in the material editor, but not at all in game (or the main editor) no matter how high I turn up the value. I’m trying to do a tiny red surveillance camera “on” light. First pic I used a static red point light (kind of what I’m going for), last 2 pics is the material in the material editor, then applied to a sphere…no glow.
Do you have a post process volume placed in your level? If not place on in there and see if you get the results that you are looking for.
I actually do & I’m using it to disable the bloom effect. (This is for VR and bloom can look a little strange in stereo :))
no glow without bloom from materials.
you could add a particle with a soft falloff material to fake the glow which should be okay for VR.
