Now with voice acting to by brian watts swigles and tobias Jessop Gladiators Of The Arena Dev Blog #5 Voice Acting - YouTube
what do you guys think of it click the link for a trailer ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTFgpixtXW8&feature=youtu.be
The trailer is** amazing, very beautifull, it shows the most important points of the game’s action**. But, sincerely, it is missing just 3 points, in my opinion:
1- Blood;
2- Gore;
3- And gibs;
:p:p:p:p:p:p:p
I am saying this because I am fan of bloody games , especially Mortal Kombat.
Take a look at this small mini-game I created in UDK, maybe it can inspire you to add some more gore on your trailer
Alright Nidal I can have more GORE but trust me most of the people don’t like it, I think idk I myself love GORE gibs and blood but not everyone it’s like us, I’m aiming for something competitive rather than something too bloody. Thanks for the review. : )
Hello Neongho. I know, even youtube doesn’t like that much blood and violence. But as I have in my veins the blood of the Rebelious and Resistant Palestininans Insurgents, :D:D:D, and I am stubborn, I have added too much blood and gore on my game Fursan al-Aqsa - Knights of al-Aqsa Mosque
However wants to play my game, thanks! Whoever wants to hate my game, that’s fine, I don’t care
My game is the expression of my views about the War in Palestine, no matter what other’s think about :p:p:p
By the way, you have done a lot of progress on your game, congratulations my UDK brother!
I don’t have nothing against your game it’s rather something more of experience, I’m working in like 5 other projects, games if you wanna call, if you focus all your effort in just one game it can happened something so bad, try to make other video games to ? idk I just want to help a UDK brother :rolleyes: I focused so much in GOTA that I even wanted to give up sometimes, it’s much better to be multiproject dude ya know ?
No bro, I can’t work on more than one project a time. I tend to give all my soul, mind and free time whenever creating a game. I can’t focus on more than one game. Multi project is not for me, but I admire you, is not that easy to be able to work on multiple game projects at once, while keeping the quality of each one.
Cheers and Best Regards!
Do whatever you want but… remember that imagination it’s endless.
See dude a cool feature in your game is that you could gain health eating kebabs I’d love that feature, sorry if I sound like a clown lol.
:D:D:D:D:D
That’s funny. I was thinking something more dark and bloody, like for each head you cut off you gain health :eek::eek::eek::eek:
Just kidding.
I already created some old school health pickup, you can see here on this video:

Hello my friend. I understand you. Selling a game can be VERY HARD, especially whenever you don’t invest in promotion, marketing, and on creating an audience and community arround your game.
You should try to promote and publish about your game on another websites, not just here. You should use twitter to get to know more people, game streamers, youtubers, indie game reviewers, you need more friendships arround the web to support you.
I am doing this for my game. There is no secret man, there is a lot of labour, work.
In my case I was able to create a strong community arround my game, but also because my other project before this game:
I wish you good luck with your game man
My real life job is Web Design and Social Media Advertising, so I have a good experience on marketing (+10 years).
However, whenever working as a solo indie developer, you need to do everything by yourself. There is no “secret recipe” or magic to get noticed.
I will try to resume for you how I am doing it all alone, maybe you can get some ideas.
First detail, is that you need to do the marketing for your game in a daily basis, you need to consider it as a part of the development.
Second, you need to do like old days, mouth to mouth, people to people. You must not act like a bot (you will be banned), you need to get in touch with many people over the web.
You need to have pages on Social Media, like Facebook, Twitter (is very good), Youtube Channel, Instagram, and so on. Everything you can manage, is good.
You need aswell, register on as many game development forums, and general gaming forums as you can. The more the better. However, is always good before posting about your game, ask permission (contact the forum) for this, as many will not allow advertising.
You need to create compelling promotional art for your game, and share, manually share on all social networks. If you have facebook friends, this will help, if not, make friendship with random people who are somekind related to gaming, game development.
Twitter is excellent for this because there are thousands of gamers there, game developers, and so on.
Do not restrict to whom you are going to pitch about your game. Even other indie developers will help. You follow random people on twitter, then begin to interact with them, comenting about their tweets, and the like (begin a friendship).
Then after people already know you (after some interactions), you can tag them on a posting you do in twitter, like a new update, you go there and create a new banner, art, then share on twitter and tag as many users as you can. However, don’t do it too fast, otherwhise twitter will ban you (make like 5 times by day, giving one hour of interval between each posting).
However, be aware man, that this is a VERY TEDIOUS WORK, but needs to be done all days. Each new friend, follower you get, ad him/her to a list of people you can tag.
You can search on twitter for IGN and Gamespot Journalist to tag them aswell. I am doing it however, these guys did not answer, like my tweet yet. But 2 Important editors of IGN Brazil (I am brazilian) already liked my posts and are now aware of my game.
In the end my friend, there is no “magic”, there is a LOT of labour. But your game I think will be easier to marketing than my game, because of the political content, MANY sites banned me, even Youtube deleted 2 channels I had. However, I am stubborn, and NEVER GIVE UP.
My game even got into the list of TOP 100 Indie Games of 2019 on IndieDB Website!
Last but not least, there are a LOT of sites specialized in reviewing indie games, you can search on google and contact them. Dude, never underestimate anyone, even a small youtuber, small website who make a review for your game is good, valid, and can make a bigger site raise interest on your game.
The secret is spread your game to reach as much people as you can!
PS: search on google fursan al aqsa game - Google Search to see how I am making my game VIRAL on the web
thanks man, You said it I don’t take it as a branch of game dev, more like something arbitrary, I should really focus on it to, or get someone to do it, idk, hey aren’t you going steam ?
