In the Fortnite Island Creator Rules it says “3.4.1. Promotions of your experience offering prizes are not allowed.”
However, Typical Gamer has just advertised his map by saying he will give 10,000 v-bucks to someone who finds the easter egg in his map. If this is allowed, then practically everyone will have to do something similar to be able to compete. Can we get clarification on this?
From my understanding, I think they are not allowed internally, but externally (outside Fortnite) its fair game (just dont mention the competition within your project, only in external socials)
It seems like it’s talking about promoting your experience outside Fortnite

Not sure, iirc those refer to internal use but if someone knows more they can clarify. Maybe check what 3.4 is about, maybe that gives a hint.
It says outside, interesting. Hmm, good to know
According to Epic this is against the rules. We’ll see if they actually do anything

Also, can we offer prize $ for tournaments played specifically in our maps?

Thank you for your feedback. While cannot guarantee a response, I can confirm that this has been forwarded to the appropriate team.
As of now, the only thing they could have done is contacted the creator directly and gave a warning.
