I’m trying to render this shot but it’s showing these weird light reflections whenever I render it and can’t for the life of me figure out whats causing them or how to get rid of them. Anyone know how and why its happening?
in unreal viewport
weird stuff im getting in my renders (different angle)
weird stuff im getting in my renders that are not in the viewport
Hello there @DylanBteros!
Checking around the community, this kind of issue pops up from time to time. From your screens, I think it’s either an issue with the lighting setup, or one of your texture map is reacting with an excess of glossiness and/or reflections.
Assuming you are using Lumen, I would test the following commands to adjust reflection values:
r.Lumen.Reflections.HierarchicalScreenTraces 0
r.Lumen.Reflections.HighQuality 0
r.Lumen.ScreenProbeGather.ScreenTraces 0
r.Lumen.Reflections.ScreenTraces 0
r.Shadow.Virtual.OnePassProjection.MaxLightsPerPixel 64
As for textures, make sure your material is using Roughness and Specular inputs. If you don’t have a roughness map, then try a manual input at around 0.9 in your material.
