I’m trying to make a simple displacement of the moon using a sphere I exported from Maya and the sphere will not tesselate at all. I have watched several videos online and whenever the person in the tutorial looks a the wireframe they get very heavy geo density. I have followed the steps perfectly and I do get displacement but the sphere remains the same tesselation as it was originally. I can also see artifacts in the lit view in the shape of the triangles of the sphere.
Can anyone tell me why my geo won’t tesselate any heavier even when displacement is working?
