Geometry close to the camera in 360 stereo renders appears blurry. Will this be fixed at some point?

Try e.g. the Lakehouse demo, or any other project. When 360 stereo images get rendered, all objects close to the camera appear blurry. This happens with the path tracer on and off. Interestingly, the flaw is absent from mono panoramas.

Currently, the only way to generate stereo panoramas with close by geometry in TM is to render 2 mono panoramas with very slightly offset cameras, and join them in an image editor. A tedious process. It was promised that this will be fixed in an update, but it has not happened. Can we still expect a fix?

Hello MGrugl and thank you for reaching out.

Are you on the latest version of Twinmotion?

This issue should've been fixed in TM 2022. If this isn't the case, can you please use the Contact us button and share your file with us?

A support agent will take a look at the issue and get back to you.

Thank you

MC

Have just tested version 2023.1. The flaw with objects close to the camera persists with stereo panos. Will this ever be addressed? I see much value in Twinmotion, and am not fond to switching to other applications such as Enscape to generate stereo panos.

Hi MC, thanks for getting back. I am using the latest version. The problem can be replicated even with the demo files. Just create a stereo (VR) pano from any viewpoint that has geometry close by.
