Geometry Cache with Niagara

Hi,
Just wondering if there could ever be support for Geometry Cache’s within Niagara similar to how it works with skeletal meshes at the moment, so we can spawn particles on the surface of baked sims.
Using a cloth sim from blender as a framework for a particle system for example could look super cool.

I just got here… did a solution ever arrive for this?

You can render geometry caches from Niagara (there is a separate renderer for them), but you cannot query a geometry cache like you could for example a skeletal mesh. You’d have to write your own data interface for that.

Interesting, thanks for the answer. Seems a bit unfortunate about not being able to query as it would be particularly helpful for VFX studios. Hope to see this updated in the future…
