Yep, seems to be working right with the gearvr.handlebackbutton 0 setup.
Since i haven’t yet hooked OVRQUITMENU, not sure if it closes properly, but goes to UM and back just fine.

Btw, when you go to Oculus Home from UM and then remove phone from GVR, do you have your game still running? (tap that button to the left of the phone’s home button)
Nope, it doesn’t close it seems. Still showing up in that list.
Sounds like a bug. I reported it to Oculus (since it’s mostly SDK issue I think): Solved: [Gear VR] How to shut down app on exit to the Stor... - Meta Community Forums - 381582 but I haven’t done logcat stuff before, so I am not sure what exactly to do in order to provide what they are asking for.
Are you familiar with all that debugging stuff for Gear VR and UE4 ? If so, do you think you can pitch into that report and provide logcat log to Oculus ?
Unfortunately this is a bit out of my league. Doesn’t seem that scary. But It’s lacking details.
I see u have provided the bulk of the info they requested. If u link the test project they could try it themselves. The worse case scenario is that it’s fixed in their build, so it won’t show up in their tests.
EDIT: FWIW back button works perfectly fine with developer mode on.
