I have a forest that contains a modest and I mean really modest amount of foliage. As a matter of fact, I have no grass, ferns, sticks, stones or ground materials applied to my landscape–just trees. As far as I know, my LODs are efficient, my cull distances are adequate and as the .png suggests, my framerate is a little below 80 FPS. When I start the PIE, standalone, or even a packaged game, initially, everything runs smoothly; however, approximately 30 to 60 sec in to the play test and what I assume is the garbage collector, plagues my performance with stutters and hitches even though my FPS is still over 60. It feels awful and unplayable, I’ve attempted to change the settings in project files>engine>garbage collector and nothing works. I’ve used the -NoVerifyGC command in the project launcher and that didn’t help either. After several hours of scouring the internet for little to no information regarding this topic, I am at a bit of a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
What kind of stutters are you seeing, is it rubber banding type stutters?
