Game consistently freezes and crashes when loading into a match on Xbox Series X, despite working normally everywhere else (menus, shop, locker, sign-in).

Launch Fortnite on Xbox Series X.

Navigate menus, shop, locker as normal (all functional).
3.
Select a match type and click “Ready Up.”
4.
Wait as the game moves to the connecting/loading screen.
Expected Result
Match loads normally and player enters the game.
Observed Result
Console freezes during the connecting/loading screen, followed by a full game crash. This happens 100% of the time, with no exceptions, across all attempts.

Additional Notes
This has occurred consistently for several years, across multiple reinstalls. Troubleshooting already completed with no change in outcome:
•
Multiple full uninstalls/reinstalls of Fortnite
•
Cleared local saved games and local Xbox 360 storage
•
Cleared alternate MAC address
•
Multiple full power cycles (console fully unplugged, not just restarted)
•
Changed console DNS to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4)
•
Tested on a Guest Xbox profile with no Epic account linked at all — issue persists
•
Tested on a brand new Xbox profile — issue persists
•
Tested linking to a newly created Epic Games account — issue persists
•
Confirmed Epic servers were operational (no outage) during testing
•
Other games (e.g., Call of Duty) run completely normally on the same console, ruling out general hardware/network issues
