Fracture a pawn with chaos

I m new to UE and i want to make a controlable rolling ball game with fracture on trigger so the question is can i fracture a controlable pawn with chaos ?

like here How do you apply chaos destruction without losing other functionality?
but if you want partially fracture actor with no loose control of it you would be make actor in blueprint from pieces what you want to cut off when it would hit
