Fourier Transform Curve Filter Not Working

I want to clean up some mocap keyframes of a metahuman facial animation using the fourier transform curve filter in the sequencer curves editor, but every time I apply it (no matter the settings i choose) it just flattens the keyframe curves.
Does anyone know what could eb the issue here?

Apologies for this. It is actually broken in 5.3 like you’re indicating. It has been fixed for 5.4 though.
