Fortnite hard crashes entire PC after new season

Summary

Fortnite has been hard crashing my PC since Chapter 7 Season 4 launched. All that happens is a black screen, typically no audio but occasionally audio adjacent to that of a BSOD. For reference this has been happening in Battle Royale Zero Build, haven’t tried other modes so cannot confirm. According to event viewer it reports it as a fatal hardware error, but Fortnite is the only game that has this issue. I have no idea what the cause is or how to fix it - i’ve seen a few people discussing hard crashes on pc since chapter 7’s launch but no solution exists. I genuinely don’t know what to do, i can attach the event viewer logs if needed or FN logs if they exist.
