Fortnite false cheating ban after being kicked from a match

Summary

Hi, I’m looking for help with a Fortnite ban that I believe may have been caused by a false detection.

I was first kicked from a Fortnite match with the message saying I was removed due to internet lag, my IP or machine, VPN usage, or cheating. I then received a 24-hour matchmaking ban, but the sanction did not appear in the Sanctions & Appeals portal, so I couldn’t appeal it. An Epic employee actually acknowledged that the 24-hour sanction was not appearing in the portal, but nothing was done to fix the issue or give me a way to appeal it.

Later, the sanction changed to a 365-day ban for cheating. I have never cheated in Fortnite or used a VPN while playing Fortnite.

I appealed the ban through Epic Support, but my appeal was denied very quickly. However, the Sanctions & Appeals portal still shows the sanction as “In Review.”

I also contacted Epic Support about this. Even when I was supposedly speaking with a real support agent, I received mostly automated/generic responses that didn’t actually address my situation. I was also told that my appeal was denied, but the Sanctions & Appeals portal still shows “In Review.” I asked Epic to update the status so I could understand whether I could appeal again, but they refused to do so.

I checked my Fortnite logs from the time of the incident. They show the kick followed by multiple “ConnectionLost” messages. I also found some old files on my PC related to Minecraft/Lunar Client and an old Roblox cheat that I haven’t used in months. I never used these to cheat in Fortnite, and even if I had tried to use them for Fortnite, they wouldn’t have worked.

I’m not claiming that these files definitely caused the ban, but I’m wondering if they could have triggered a false detection.

I would really appreciate it if someone could look into this case or explain what I should do next. I can provide the relevant logs and screenshots if needed.

I would like my case to be actually and fairly reviewed. The responses I received were very generic and did not address the specific evidence or circumstances I provided, so I have no indication that my case was carefully reviewed. I would also like to know whether anyone actually reviewed my Fortnite replays from the matches in question to determine whether I was cheating, because I know that I was not.
