Summary

Player Marker Device does not work properly at all. Needs to be FIXED in the next update or soon. Visible to Class and Visible to team settings don’t do anything. Player is set to not see themselves marked but is marked anyway.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create 4 different classes and 4 different Teams
  2. Set Player Marker device to Track “Class B” and/or “Team 2” Invert off invert off
  3. Match Player Marker device and set “Visible to Class” to “Class C” and/or “Team 3”
  4. Set Player Marker device to “NO” on Option “Visible for Tracked Player”
  5. Add Custom Beacon
  6. On Player Selector Device (Class B and/or Team 2) add Function “When Team or Class Switched” = " Attach to Player "
  7. Invite a friend
  8. Start Game and send friend to Class B/ Team 2 (Becon appears at this point)
  9. Alternate yourself between Classes A C and D or Teams 1 3 and 4
  10. Friend will always be marked no matter what team or class other player is

Expected Result

1.Player is Joined to Team 2 or Class B. This Player SHOULD NOT see themselves marked or pinged in any fashion.

2.Different Player Joins to Team 1 or Class A. This Player SHOULD NOT see the mark or ping in any fashion.

Additional Notes

There is a very ugly blue trail that smokes up from tracked player. This should have an option to be invisible. r/FortniteCreative on reddit describes other issues as well. please refer to post “The Player Marker is complete trash”
