Summary
After working in Fortnite Creative on PC for a few days I decided to upgrade to UEFN. The editor itself runs fine, but Fortnite crashes when I try a test session. After that attempt, Fortnite constantly crashed when trying to enter a Creative session or any player-made island. I can join the hub, but the game freezes and crashes as soon as I land, same with player-made islands. I have gone through all the troubleshooting on the Epic support page to no avail, in fact that made my game worse as now it crashes when I attempt to join a party in-lobby or otherwise. I get no error report besides “Fortnite has crashed.” Following is a list of the other things I have also uninstalled both programs, cleaned cache and registry, and reinstalled. After checking my appdata for the crash report, it seems the thing causing the crash may be the GPU not responding but I don’t know how to fix that besides updating and optimizing.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create island in fortnite creative.
- Install UEFN
- Load “myproject”
- Start a test session

Fortnite crashes.
