Summary
Fortnite crashes midgame from an “EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION” error in the crash log. Sometimes its every game and sometimes I get 2 hours of playtime before it starts. I have easily spent over 30 hours trouble shooting this. I have already reinstalled the game and epic launcher multiple times (even on different hard drives), verified the game files, updated my graphics drivers, downgraded my graphics drivers, tested the -d3d11 augmentation as well as many other augments, have no background apps or programs running, 0 overlays on, deleted this folder deleted that folder etc, no razer or other software running/installed on pc, tried all rendering modes, stress tested and confirmed all hardware is 100% working without issue, added exceptions for fortnite/epic in windows defender, xmp on/off, cpu overclocked/stock etc etc. There are no crash logs in windows event viewer.
This started during the recent overwatch update and has only gotten worse since. My pc has been running fortnite perfectly up until that chapter 7 season 2 update. I have tons of crash logs and it is the same exception access violation every time.
