Custom content seems to get references stuck in the HLOD, hopefully thats all this is as its referencing cooked content.
The Delete HLODs from the Build menu doesn’t seem to remove these either.
You can try using a totally new HLOD layer, which could help, if its a stuck reference to the deleted custom texture
This is how I replace HLOD Layer (pasted from a text file)
Close Fortnite Edit/Play Mode
Check-in Changes and make a snapshot with URC
Make a new HLOD Layer in Content Browser - Right Click>World>HLOD Layer
Delete existing HLOD Layer - Replace References to the new one -
DON’T Save When it asks, otherwise it will possibly keep the bad references in there
Double Click on Level Thumbnail
Now you can Save if prompted.
Then do a Build Landscape - ignore Yellow Warnings - use drop the down filter to deselect them - deal with Red Errors
Double Click your Level Thumbnail again, Save if prompted
Du möchtest deine Map über den Editor starten?
Also “Launch Session” und er lädt es nicht?
Ich habe gerade mal eine neue Map erstellt. Also blank.
If custom stuff is used and HLODs are built, the custom stuff is used and referenced by the HLOD.
When you delete the custom things from your project, sometimes the reference to that custom thing isn’t deleted from the HLOD file.
And when it tries to launch it can’t find the deleted file.
To fix this I totally delete the HLOD layer and start with a blank one.
But it has to be done in a certain order or it doesn’t work properly.
But this may not be the problem, so doing a Build Landscape will do more than build landscape it will check your map for common problems.
