Forcing Older Versions

Summary

When you set a new version of an Island to active, it does not prioritize matchmaking into that new version as it used to in the past. If you were on version 40 and push version 41, it can take 30 to 60 minutes in order for you to load into that new version 41.

This seems to be a new issue in this last Fortnite update, previously you would load into a new version in under 10 minutes. Now, with this issue, players are loading into old versions instead of experiencing the new content and/or bug fixes right from when they release.

Matchmaking

Steps to Reproduce

Publish a new version of a game. Try to load into a public game on that new version. You will keep getting forced into the old version for a long period of time.

Expected Result

You should load into the newest version once it is active. That should be prioritized.

Observed Result

You continue loading into old versions over and over.

FORT-1067205 has been created and its status is ‘Unconfirmed’. This is now in a queue to be reproduced and confirmed.

I have just experienced the same issue on my island. I just published a new version with bug fixes and upgrades but it still keeps loading the old version. Even though it shows the new version number next to the island number.
