“For You” row in Discover does not update based on recent play history

Summary

Beginning on June 24, 2026, the “For You” row in Discover appeared to stop updating or personalizing its recommendations based on recent play history.

For me and multiple others, the row displayed the same islands from June 24 through July 16. After the v41.20 update on July 16, the row began displaying different content. However, as of July 19, its recommendations still do not appear to change in response to recent play activity as they did before June 24.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch Fortnite.
  2. Open Discover and record the islands displayed in the “For You” row.
  3. Play several experiences from the same genre, such as “Sports & Racing” or “Deathrun & Platformer,” over several consecutive days.
  4. Return to Discover periodically and review the “For You” row.
  5. Compare the displayed recommendations with the islands recorded before the test.

Expected Result

After repeatedly playing experiences from a particular genre over several days, the “For You” row should gradually reflect that recent play history by recommending relevant or similar experiences.

Observed Result

The “For You” row continues to display the same recommendations shown before the test and does not appear to reflect the genres or experiences played during the test period.

Additional Notes

The row remained fully static between June 24 and July 16. The content changed after the v41.20 update, but the row still does not appear to respond to recent play history.
