For over a month, all new UEFN project changes fail with "At least 1 module failed remote validation" across multiple devices, networks, and even blank projects.

Summary

For over a month I have been unable to Launch Session after making any new change in UEFN.

The error is:

“At least 1 module failed remote validation”

This occurs across multiple projects, multiple computers, multiple internet connections, and even brand new blank projects.

The issue persists after verifying Fortnite and UEFN, clearing caches, reinstalling components, testing on mobile hotspot, running as administrator, and updating to the latest versions.

Existing projects may still launch if left untouched, but the moment I make a new edit, validation fails.

Live Edit

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).
  2. Create a brand new blank project.
  3. Place 1 wall and 1 prop in the level.
  4. Save the project.
  5. Click Launch Session.
  6. UEFN attempts to validate the project.
  7. Launch Session fails with the error: “At least 1 module failed remote validation”.

Expected Result

The project should successfully validate, upload any required modules, and launch a Fortnite session for testing.

Observed Result

Launch Session fails with the error “At least 1 module failed remote validation”.

The issue occurs on:

  • Multiple unrelated projects
  • Multiple computers
  • Multiple internet connections
  • Mobile hotspot
  • Brand new blank projects

Existing projects may still launch if left untouched, but any new modification causes validation to fail.

Platform(s)

Additional Notes

Reference ID: 25116349

This issue has persisted for over one month.

Epic Support previously reviewed the case and directed me to the UEFN forums because standard support was unable to resolve the issue.

Key findings:

  • Multiple unrelated projects affected
  • Multiple computers affected
  • Multiple internet connections tested
  • Mobile hotspot tested
  • Fortnite and UEFN verified and updated
  • UEFN cache cleared
  • Epic Launcher cache cleared
  • Administrator mode tested
  • Brand new blank projects fail

Most important finding:

A completely new blank project containing only 1 wall and 1 prop still fails with “At least 1 module failed remote validation”.

This suggests the issue is not project-specific and may be related to module upload, validation services, account-side validation, or backend systems.
