Fonts missing from Builds made with Zen Snapshots

When making a packaged build while using iterative cooking and Zen Snapshots from a shared server we have an issue where all the fonts are missing from the build.

Unpacking two builds, one setup as above and another known good build from the same CL confirms that the fonts are all that is missing from the .pak files.

The log for the broken result shows these lines during the stage command, along with other project specific font files not being present.

20:37:27 LogPakFile: Warning: Missing file "../../../Project/Saved/Cooked/Windows/Engine/Content/EngineFonts/Faces/DroidSansFallback.ufont" will not be added to PAK file.

20:37:27 LogPakFile: Warning: Missing file "../../../Project/Saved/Cooked/Windows/Engine/Content/EngineFonts/Faces/RobotoRegular.ufont" will not be added to PAK file.
20:37:27 LogPakFile: Warning: Missing file "../../../Project/Saved/Cooked/Windows/Engine/Content/EngineFonts/Faces/RobotoTiny.ufont" will not be added to PAK file.

The font files missing are all in directories that are set to always be cooked in the settings.

Steps to Reproduce
Cook and package a Game build with the option to export snapshots enabled.

Observe the text is visible in the build

Run another build with the previous snapshot imported from a zenserver and with -iterate specified to the cook.

Observe the text is missing in the build

When the snapshot was exported it would have invoked the “zen.exe oplog-export” command and you should check if that invocation includes the `--embedloosefiles` command line argument. Without that some loose files that are part of the cooked output will not be part of the snapshot.

I’m sorry for the late reply, I did not see the notification for your response. Does this only happen when you use `-iterate`? For example, if you imported the snapshot, but didn’t cook at all, you just proceeded to package it as-is after importing, do you encounter this issue? Just wanting to reason about what step is introducing the problem.

Yes it has that argument passed in. Its run from a BuildGraph so I would be surprised if it didn’t include the correct options

Line from the BuildGraph:

<ZenExportSnapshot Project=“Project\Project.uproject” Platform=“Windows” DestinationStorageType=“Zen” DestinationZenHost=“$(ZenHost)” DestinationIdentifier=“$(SnapshotIdentifier)” SnapshotDescriptorFile=“$(SnapshotLocalDir)/Windows/SnapshotDescriptor-zen.json”/>

Full Command printed:

zen.exe oplog-export --embedloosefiles --zen ADDRESS --hosturl http://localhost:8558 --target-project project.oplog --target-oplog __project_mainline_main_project_CLnumber.windows project.94ce7005 Windows
