I’ve implemented Deathrey’s solution (thank you!) into my shader and it does help a lot.
But i’m still unable to get those smooth results.
Is there something new on this?
This is an example of what i could achieve. The panorama-shots are both about 180°. The setup for the scene is just a stationary skylight + directional light. Intensities are default settings (4.22 prev 2). The grass-shader is just a diffuse-map plugged into diff+sss, normal-map was applied via Deathrey’s solution.

The terminator between direct illumination and sss is still too harsh, in comparsion with the photo.
