Foliage Lighting Bug

Hi all,

I am currently using UE5 and I have imported some foliage assets from Quixel Bridge. The problem I have is that when I paint the foliage onto the ground, it all appears normal until I get closer to it. The closer the camera/ player gets to the foliage, the brighter it becomes and it looks like there are no shadows being cast on the leaves or branches. But when going further away, it goes back to normal.

Auto exposure is off (I have my own set) and I am using Lumen for the lighting. I am thinking it could be an issue with the actual foliage or maybe the camera/ rendering. But I am not sure.

Here is a video demonstrating my problem:

I would appreciate any help or suggestions anyone could give me,

Thanks!!

I am facing the same problem. how you get rid of it. PLS help me.

I can think of two reasons
・LOD has been set
・The texture setting of the mask texture of the asset being used is not set to NoMipMap
