You’ll want to make sure that your using LODs for your trees and that you’re also using Culling to keep performance up. This is extremely helpful for larger scenes and is common in all exploratory worlds that use dense foliage.
Hi, I have a massive terrain and i need to make it like a jungle, when placing that many trees, plants, ect it lags allot. is there nay way to optimize it or stop the lagging other then putting less meshes.
The only way to reduce the number of vertices is to export back into your 3d modelling software and to it manually. But, it should be enough by making multiple LODs for the foliage and hide it by making a Depth of field post process, so it won’t be as easy to spot the model pop-in thing. Hope this helped.
