I’m getting a problem when building the lighting of some of my trees. I have a trre asset which, when placed manually as a static mesh looks fine and the lighting builds correctly. However when placed through the foliage editor I get large black discolorations. I have 3 LOD’s: Base, 1 and 2. I have also set the lightmap res to 128 in the static mesh properties. Does foliage not support LOD’s? Or is do I have to change light map properties in the foliage settings even though I left the “Light Map Resolution” check box unchecked?
The trees on the right are static meshes that I placed while the trees on the left are foliage trees.
