Foliage facing camera in VR

Hi all,
is there any way to avoid this strange foliage (material) behaviour?
2023-03-22 18-58-01.mkv (15.7 MB)
In non VR environment it works perfectly.
This happens as in UE4 as in UE5
The target would be to face the tree in camera position direction but not be influenced by camera rotation.
When I rotate camera it should be fixed.
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

As you might be able to see from its total sh*tness, that’s what’s called a billboard. It’s the lowest LOD, and because it’s usually somewhere near the horizon, its job is to face the camera, because it’s flat.

So, rather than wondering why it’s facing the camera, you might wonder why you getting the lowest LOD when you’re right in front of it

Ok You right: I need to explain better my problem.
In a my level environment on pc I see corectly background far trees as billboard and all working well.
The issue happens in VR, where I need to keep strict low LODS.
Here when I rotate my head I see this wrong effect.

Moreover where can I change radius/distance that fade between LODS? I’m searching in project settings as in World settings but no lucky.
