Foliage disappearing when moving camera

Hey there, I’m new to ue4 and i downloaded a free trees pack, adjusted the LODs to what i preferred (LOD0 value 1, LOD1 value 0.2, and so on with smaller values) and painted some trees -only one type - on my test landscape with the foliage brush.
When i look around the trees disapper, it’s like if they show up only when i look east + north, as i face south or west directions they totally disappear.

This problem does not occur when i place those tree models as static meshes, only with painting. I’ve tried to change my lod values or force lod 0 through the command bar but the same problems occurs.

here are two pics taken with a slightly different direction:

The point of view is almost the same, take the building as a reference, so is anybody facing the same issue? is it a problem with my project?

Thanks a lot for any answer or link to an effective solution to this

I think I solved this problem, it happens when you have 1000+ entities of the same foliage - so I just deleted all the extra trees and I’ll replace them with other identical trees duplicating the mesh.

Just had the problem in 5.1 … D**n you saved me hours of debugging. Foliage Nanite seems to solved the problem entirely.
