Foggy glass / translucency with Path Tracer and Exponential Height Fog

Anybody ever had issues with foggy glass surfaces in PT?

With Fog enabled:

With Fog disabled:

You can see here a screenshot of a highly reflective mirror surface which, weirdly enough, is NOT affected by this issue and neither are its’ reflections.

I thought that maybe it’s because of the automotive glass material but then I made a super simple glass material from scratch and the problem still persists.
Any ideas?
