FNEC Ch6 Terrain Props Not Baking HLOD Layer

Summary

I’ve noticed that every terrain prop connected to the FNEC Ch6 family are now unable to bake/generate HLOD’s on a UEFN Project after working previously in the past.

This is a huge issue considering how useful terrain props are in the UEFN space. I’ve tested it out on a clean UEFN Project, once I did that I placed the FNEC_Hermes_Cliff_Default_Large _A_B prop and enabled streaming in order to bake HLOD layers.

To my expectations it did not generate an HLOD layer for the prop. Almost every terrain prop starting with “FNEC” is connected like a hivemind and will not generate HLOD layers.

If there is ANY solution to this I would be extremely grateful.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Creat a new project and name is “HLODTest”

  1. Place any FNEC chapter 6 terrain prop on the map

  1. Go to “World Settings” and check “Enable Streaming”

  1. Go to “Build” at the top of the window and click "Build World Partition Editor Minimap

  1. Once it is done building click “Build HLOD’s”

  1. Wait until it is done building (It may take awhile so be patient)

  1. Once the HLOD’s are finished, click “Launch Session” to join your HLODTest project in Fortnite

  1. Once in the map, fly away until the terrain props disappear

Expected Result

If you do all the steps, this should prove that the FNEC Chapter 6 Terrain Prop’s are no longer able to generate HLOD’s layers.

Observed Result

The FNEC Chapter 6 Terrain Props will disappear, proving the the prop did not generate an HLOD layer after the generation.

Additional Notes

I’d like to also mention; I had to replace my old terrain props to the FNEC props because the original BP_Hera_Cliff Chapter 7 terrain props don’t have a solid grass color texture and seem to be changed each update by Fortnite Devs. Because of this, the terrain props turned from a nice green, to a gross yellow. This is really annoying because a can’t change the props material as they are “read only”.
