Summary
The Star Wars player vitals (health/shield bar) widget in /FNE_SW_UI_Assets/ has a View Binding that writes a scalar parameter Progress to the HealthBarBackplate brush. The material instance assigned to that brush doesn’t expose a Progress parameter, so a warning is logged every time the binding evaluates.
Warning: Binding ‘HealthBarBackplate.Brush ← Conv_SetScalarParameter(HealthBarBackplate.Brush, Progress, HUDPlayerInfoViewmodel.HealthNormalized)’: Material parameter ‘Progress’ not found on ‘/FNE_SW_UI_Assets/SharedAssets/MaterialInstances/PlayerVitals/SW_MI_UI_Vitals_Health_Backplate.SW_MI_UI_Vitals_Health_Backplate’.

Assets
Steps to Reproduce
Create or open a UEFN project that uses the Star Wars UI assets (FNE_SW_UI_Assets).
Use Epic’s Star Wars health/shield bar widget, either through the native SW HUD or placed in a custom widget.
Launch Session and take damage, or just let the HUD initialize.
Check the Output Log.
Expected Result
No warning. Either the backplate material instance exposes Progress, or the binding targets the material that actually uses it (likely the fill, not the backplate).
Observed Result
The warning above is logged. The health fill still updates correctly, and the backplate stays static.
Platform(s)
PC
Additional Notes
Impact: Low. It’s log spam that hides real warnings while we debug. Creators can’t fix it because the widget and the material are both read-only plugin content.
