Floating foliage problem

Unreal 4.24.3

I have created a landscape and am using the procedural foliage approach to add grass to my landscape material grass layer using a Grass Output

The grass output has a single Landscape Grass Type assigned.

And this works great on flat surfaces but as soon as it blends onto a slope the foliage starts to float.

I’ve seen other posts talking about Foliage painting and the Z offset but there is no Z offset with this method I can find. Any thoughts?
