Summary

Flag consumable physics are bugged, along with the capture item spawners color selection. The spawners do not show the selected flag color for either direct color or team color. The flags always appear white. The flag items have weird physics once they are picked up by a player. The flag will crumple and bunch up towards the pole and not flow as the character is moving. Physics movement is inconsistent between game rounds, giving different results with zero changes to mechanics.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Place a flag consumable in a capture item spawner.
  2. Setup DEB to allow for hostile team interaction and capture of the flag
  3. Launch game and play Capture the Flag mode as expected
  4. Picking up the flag will show bugged physics

Expected Result

Flags should show the team or selected color while they are on the capture item spawner base. And flags physics should move freely along with player movement.

The status of UCB-1307 incident has been moved from ‘Awaiting Validation’ to ‘Needs Triage’.

I’ve had this issue on my map forever and never released it because of this bug. It also takes away the HUD for the capture zone badges. Has anyone figured this out I’m so desperate

Several months later, this is still a problem.

Repro:

  • Create a “Capture Item Spawner Device” in UEFN
  • Add a flag as the item (either in game or in UEFN)
  • Push, Start Session
  • Observe all the flags are always white
