First Person Camera Bugs Part 2 Electric Boogaloo

Summary

The First Person camera is positioned behind the player character when using certain weapons (Although the weapons’ Aim Down Sights is perfect though as it goes to the default position near the players’ head)

Steps to Reproduce

1- Grab a First Person camera Device from the creative inventory.

2- Grab an Enhanced Twinfire Auto Shotgun, EvoChrome Burst Rifle (Common, Uncommon, Rare), EvoChrome Shotgun (Common, Uncommon, Rare), Grenade Launcher, Guided Missile, Kit’s Shockwave Launcher, Lawless Twinfire Slap Shotgun, Lawless Shockwave Rocket Launcher, Orange Paint Launcher, Plasma Burst Laser, Purple Paint Launcher, Rail Gun, Shockwave Launcher, Snowball Launcher, The Big Chill, Twinfire Auto Shotgun or Zapotron.

3- Begin creative preview in the First Person Camera Device’s Settings.

4- Observe the camera’s positions when not aiming and when aiming down sights.

Expected Result

First Person Camera should be positioned near the player character’s head like with the ballistic weapons or most of the other weapons.

Observed Result

The camera is positioned far behind the player character’s head and their upper body can be observed to be contorted/stretched towards the camera’s position (keep in mind the camera’s position when aiming down sights is where the camera is positioned when using most weapons being positioned where the head would be)

Platform(s)

Xbox Series S/X (and presumably every other platform: PlayStation 4/5, PC, Switch 1/2, Mobile, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X)

Additional Notes

There are other weapons in First Person that are bugged in different ways, such as:

HyperBurst Pistol - Is missing a First Person View

Kymera Ray Gun - The Energy Orb is Hidden behind the Ray gun in ADS and non-ADS, (This could be because the Energy orb is not on the same layer/plane as the Ray Gun itself?)

Lawless Trinity Assault Rifle- The weapon is positioned far above where it is intended (Top right when not aimed, Above Crosshair when Aimed)

Lever Action Shotgun - When fired the character’s arms (and or upper body?) spin around, this is likely due to the animation that plays after the shotgun is fired in third person.

Midas’ Drum Gun (OG/Classic) - the Drum Gun is positioned far below where the other drum guns are positioned and is slightly too left. This is obvious when not aiming and when you are aiming.

Modular Enforcer AR - the reload animation is bugged and the weapon is still during the reload. The reload is not the ballistic reload which was previously used.

Modular Frenzy Auto Shotgun - Reload is Bugged and the weapon is still during a reload. The reload used is no longer the ballistic one which was previously used.

Modular Hammer Pump Shotgun - Reload is Bugged and the weapon is still during a reload. The reload used is no longer the ballistic one which was previously used.

Modular Hand Cannon - The Sight/crosshairs are obstructed by a rail that is used for mods (which shouldn’t be visible as the icon lacks this rail which was accurate before this change)

Modular Hyper SMG - Reload is Bugged and the weapon is still during a reload. The reload used is no longer the ballistic one which was previously used.

Modular Nemesis AR - the weapon is positioned to close to the camera/is too far back from the normal position.

Modular Ranger Pistol - Reload is Bugged and the weapon is still during a reload. The reload used is no longer the ballistic one which was previously used.

Modular Sovereign Shotgun - The weapon is positioned too close to the camera/is too far back from the normal position.

Modular Striker AR - Reload is Bugged and the weapon is still during a reload. The reload used is no longer the ballistic one which was previously used.

Modular Tactical Assault Rifle - The weapon is too close to the camera/is too far back from the normal/default position.

Modular Thunder Burst SMG - Reload is Bugged and the weapon is still during a reload. The reload used is no longer the ballistic one which was previously used.

Night Hawk - The outfit’s hands are positioned below the revolver so that the gun is not being held.

Plasma Cannon - the outfit’s hands aren’t holding the weapon and on hand is just floating in front of the weapon and looks as though it is using the same holding animation/positions as the Night Hawk.

Primal SMG - Lacks a kickback when fired (The recoil is not visible on the SMG/ seems to have no effect on its position)

OG Pump Shotgun (Epic and Legendary) - I love the kickback animation that plays after it is shot but the pump doesn’t pump (when it’s pumped the pump on the shotgun doesn’t move).

Pumpkin Launcher - the Weapon obstructs the crosshair when aimed down sights, this weapon is also positioned too high/ is above the crosshair

Rapid Fire SMG - when fired in ADS, the SMG’s position gets lower on the screen by a large amount (might be caused by the recoil?)

Reaper Modular Sniper Rifle - Reload is Bugged and the weapon is still during a reload. The reload used is no longer the ballistic one which was previously used.

Recon Scanner - the weapon may be positioned too low (But this may be intentional)

Semi-Auto Pistol (Epic and legendary) - The Weapon is positioned slightly too high so it blocks the crosshair when Aiming Down Sights.

Shadow Modas’ Drum Gun - I know this isn’t only a bug in first person but shadow Midas’ drum gun is missing its smoke?/effects that are visible on and around the drum gun. Shadow Midas’ drum gun is also missing the shadow wrap that was applied by default on the weapon making it look quite bland (both of these bugs have been present for a while and is quite upsetting as this makes it look like a purple drum gun, and as a result as though it is nothing special) (Just look at how cool the icon is compared to the actual weapon)

Sharp Tooth Shotgun - This isn’t related to first person but the weapon lacks most of its audio. Making the weapon sound quieter than a silenced weapon despite not being silenced!

Sideways Minigun - the Minigun is positioned strangely (I can’t describe it accurately but it looks as though it’s angle is too high and as a result makes it look slightly off…)

Spire Rifle - Lacks a First Person view

SMG (OG high tier model: P90) - Reload is Bugged and the weapon is still during a reload.

Two-Shot Shotgun - Lacks a First Person View

Unstable Frostfire Shotgun - Lacks a First Person View

Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol - Lacks a First Person View

Zyg And Choppy’s Ray Gun - Same issue as Kymera Ray Gun (Energy Orb is hidden behind the weapon but appears to be positioned correctly)
