Hello,
I have published a bunch of plugins on FAB and Github, (free ones too!).
All I’m missing is visibility. As a seller I don’t get any feedback from FAB, it just seems that people don’t know I exist.
Well here I am . See something you like?

Looking for an advanced game main menu? a system that manages your game settings? Advanced UI which properly handles input, focus and gamepad features? What about having a virtual keyboard on windows? That and much more is free:
FAB visibility is really poor unless you already have lots of backing / name already established (your asset quality won’t even matter…)
consider creating better thumbnails, but even then, just think of FAB as a place to host your plugins (like Gumroad) and you have to do the marketing (which sucks)
I’m shifting completely to work with Blender Add-ons where visibility is guaranteed for actual systems that solve problems. I have come to realize actual devs on FAB browsing for real systems are too far and between to generate sales. (dont know about environment assets though)
Also try posting on Unreal Engine subreddit although from my experience its a circle jerk of dopamine deprived kids
I hoped it would be the opposite. With the amount of people being disappointed with current marketplace content.
I work with Blender for 3D modelling but I’m not a blender plugin creator. Plugins are python. Do you know why the visbility is better for blender plugins? on what website?
One theory I have is that most Blender users are 3D modellers and not programmers, but still in need of additional tools. With UE, most users are (to some point) programmers, either UI scripters or blueprint users.
To me, it seemed most logical that both starter and experienced developers would invest in buying code plugins to assist in building their projects. To me, it’s a waste to write the same code over and over, like so many developers are doing. They work on their own systems while 3000 went before them and finished their own equivalents (or better). Without data on this… I can’t understand any of them.
