I think in the engine settings for each project, there should be an option to adjust mesh and object scaling, so you can use whatever sized skeletal mesh that you have and not have to worry about redoing the rig in maya, the editor not creating a physics asset because the bones are too small, or slow turning bones if you select the whole rig in maya and resize it.
I think this could help people who are moving from Unity or another game engine to Unreal Engine 4, so they don’t have to remake their assets from the ground up.
