FBX Skeletal mesh import issues


I’m having troubles importing my character/rig from maya 2015/A.R.T > ue4.

The issue appears when I import into ue4. With export selected- I get my mesh and what should be a skeletalmesh, with nicely named bones, but all I get is my geo group(in the skeletalmesh tab). With export all- I get 200+ imported objects and a hole bunch-o-nonsense. so I was wondering if someone here could test it out and see if it imports for you.
