FBX Channel 1 Import Fail

Hi I want to know why when I import my FBX in UE4 the channel 1 of my FBX completely disappeared? I test to reimporte my FBX in 3DsMax and my FBX have channel 1 and 2.

I’ve not had this issue before. Would you be able to post a sample/test asset that is getting this same issue so I can test on my end and look into it a little more.

Also, is this happening on a single mesh or multiple meshes?

Single mesh thi mesh is from content map of Unreal. I export the uasset in a fbx fileand after import it on 3dsmax for change something and reexport in FBX. Everything work but when i reimport in UE4 the channel 1 don’t work.

I’ve tried and was able to reproduce this with the Palm Tree but I’ve not had any luck with a couple of other meshes that I’ve tried (ie. SM_Railing and SM_Chair).

I’ve exported those to FBX > Imported to Max > Exported to FBX > reimported to UE4.

I’ve not changed anything initially. I then went back and changed a few verts around to see if this would cause any type of issue. So far it’s only been the palm tree.

So far it seems to be this one asset and not a reproducible issue with every mesh which could be a larger issue.

I’ll continue looking into this, but I’m not sure it will go far if it’s only happening with this one asset. If you have any other insight or meshes that are causing this I can test more broadly to see if I can get a more suitable repro for this.
