Falcon Scout – Controller input not working properly on PC in Creative Mode

Summary

There is a long-standing issue with the Falcon Scout (Falcon Drone) item in Fortnite Creative mode when using a controller on PC.
When I activate and control the drone with a controller, only the movement using the left stick works.
All other functions — such as picking up items, marking enemies or players, and exiting the drone — do not respond at all.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch Fortnite Creative and open any island.

  2. Equip the Falcon Scout (Falcon Drone) from the inventory.

  3. Use a controller on PC (tested with Playstation 5 controller).

  4. Activate the drone.

  5. Try to pick up items, mark players/enemies, or exit the drone.

  6. Notice that none of these actions work — only basic flying with the left stick functions.

  7. Switch to keyboard controls and test again — all functions work as expected.

Information:
You can try it on my island but the chance to get the falcon drone is very small so I recommend that you just try it on your island <3 The clip is from an unpublished island

Expected Result

All Falcon Scout actions (pick up, mark, exit, etc.) shouldn’t work correctly when using a controller on PC.

Observed Result

Only flying works; no other inputs respond when using a controller on PC.

Thanks, yes, that’s right. I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed it. <3
