Good morning everyone, I’ve been using ArchiCAD for many years and now I’d like to create renderings and videos by transferring ArchiCAD 29 models to Twinmotion 2025.2.
I use a MacBook M2 Max, which I haven’t had any problems with, and ArchiCAD also works great.
Unfortunately, I’m having a particular problem with TM: when I import my model via the Datasmith plugin and view it with TM, THE SHADOWS ARE WRONG! You see the image: it’s as if TM can’t see that the walls are touching; light is shining through them. Crazy.
I’m very worried because I have a major work deadline, and I have to decide whether to continue with TM or buy D5 or Enscape, or other similar programs.
Has anyone ever had an experience with a similar problem? I should point out that the problem doesn’t go away if I export the rendering!
Thanks everyone.
Oh my god… Doesnt seem a archicad-problem…. but a TM problem?!
Look at the image uploaded, only TM objects… The objects are perfectly placed on the ground, and intersected with each other, but the shadows do not reflect the geometry correctly
Solved.
Not a problem of Archicad or strictly of TM.
Go to Ambience >> Render >> Shadows: in Standard mode, selec zero for Shadow and Shadow Bias, or… set Accurate
