Fake dome inferior material

Hi,
I am working on a project that will need to create a lot translucent domeish spheres with a lot complicated geometries inside.


Something like this.
Is there any way I could use material to fake the interior inside? Cubemap? Or should be volumetric glass?
Anyone know if there is any tutorial with this kind effect?

A cubemap isn’t going to have any depth representation and not work well for this kind of use case. There are techniques for buildings to fake depth called Interior Mapping, but it still isn’t useable for this either.

Thanks for responding. Yes, i think so too. The interior mapping working the best on a plane, but this is a dome shape. So far couldn’t think of any good way to fake this. Sad~

Yes, it is possible, but it’s not exactly simple.
