I have an issue what got mentioned all ready and is marked as solved, but actually is not, i have in all my maps Assets from UE and they are 4096x4096
And they are not cinematic… and i cannot go in the session with that maps because it gives the error message that “Failed to Validate for Upload” But no red marks on the Message log, and all was working till V25.00. Sadly when i try the “Cinematics mode” (Change all textures Cinematic it raise the memory from 45% to 121% so that is not working for me)
Yes, Overnight we went from a warning to a blocker with no heads up, but the warning was there all along, we all just ignored it .
You will need to either reduce sizes externally at the source file or set up the LOD biasing.
If they are from UE market and not encrypted you can export them to PNG or TGA from the source project in UE, and resize them. Then import the resized ones into your UEFN project.
Or set up the lod bias for each texture, set Mip Gen settings to FromTextureGroup and adjust LOD Bias so the Max In-Game dimensions fall within the limits. Neither of the texture dimensions should be greater than 2048 pixels.
@here Yes that appears to be the issue. We’re aware that this warning is blocking upload and we’re investigating. @Cardin Thank you for your post that is very helpful information for users experiencing these blockers. I’ll be referring to your post for future users with this isuse.
Since the update of the new season, we have been running into the same issue and After 4 hours of research, our game dev confirms that the 4K texture becomes now a blocker! We have been deleting the assets with the warning 4K texture and now the game launches!
